Associate Certificate in Osteopathy is an introduction to osteopathy-based health care. The program provides a solid body of knowledge in anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal pathologies, and biomechanics. Students learn osteopathic philosophy and principles that underpin the osteopathic treatment approach to health and disease. The most effective osteopathic techniques are explained and demonstrated through interactive multimedia lectures and videos.
Graduates of the Associate Certificate in Osteopathy may integrate osteopathic modalities into their current health or wellness practice and use the professional designation A.C.OST.
The program serves as a stepping stone to Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP): all six courses may be credited towards the DOMP curriculum.
Online textbooks, recorded lectures, downloadable lecture slides, video tutorials, handouts/readings.
Each course requires completion of 3 quizzes and a Final exam. Passing grade is 75%.
Program delivery format
The six-course curriculum is accessible entirely online allowing you to study at your own pace. Courses are delivered through a series of audio lectures, downloadable presentation readings, and related video tutorials. Students’ progress is evaluated via online quizzes and final examinations in each course. A dedicated course instructor is available to support you and answer any questions you might have during your studies.
